COMPLETE DESIGN OF NEW FACTORIES

With a focus on Factory Design, the CERTI Foundation developed its own system that details all the implementation steps, from the development of viability studies and conceptual design, to market results, definition of products to be manufactured, technologies to be used and expected production levels during manufacturing. CERTI also uses the contract models of the Fédération Internationale des Ingénieurs-Conseils (FIDIC) to plan, coordinate and manage Factory Design, adding good practices adopted internationally in the execution of civil construction.

INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT OF PROCESSES FOR NEW PRODUCTS

Step-by-step development product manufacturing process for a new product, to accelerate the introduction of these products in the market, CERTI assists companies in a systematic and agile manner, decreasing Time to Market and promoting the development of the production process in the phase of new product development through the integration of engineering fields. It considers the steps of Design for Assembly (DfA), development of assembly flow chart, studies of times and methods, detailed design of new assembly lines (including benches, movement, needed tools/equipment and layout) and detailing of the instructions for assembly or process charts.


Development of the Manufacturing Process

All the activities for development of production processes for new products are based on simultaneous engineering, lean manufacturing and on the best practices and processes to guarantee quality. The development counts on specialists in the main processes involved, from design analysis to the confection of the assembly instructions.


New Product Introduction (NPI )

The process offered by CERTI Foundation consists in the development of a processes parameters transfer system in an agile and assertive manner. It can be worked with in conjunction with the development of the introduction of new products or also in cases of introduction of new technologies to the client’s existing factory processes. The major advantage is the fact that it is not necessary to use the client’s production line to develop a new production process, substantially reducing the setup time and possible process adjustments.


Design for excellence for new products (DFM and DFA)

CERTI offers a series of routines and services related to new product development with an eye on good manufacturing processes, guaranteeing that the design, manufacturing of parts and manufacturing of the product occur with as few defects as possible.

INTEGRATED DEVELOPMENT OF PROCESS FOR ELETRONIC PRODUCTS

Step-by-step development of the electronic manufacturing process, to accelerate the introduction of a new product in the market, assisting companies in a systematic and agile manner, decreasing the Time to Market of its products. It involves the steps of Project Analysis, Process Development, Application of Soldering paste and adhesives, Insertion of Components, Soldering (Reflow , Wave and Selective) and Application of conformal coating.


Development of Electronic Manufacturing Process

Step-by-step development of the electronic manufacturing process, to accelerate the introduction of a new product in the market, assisting companies in a systematic and agile manner, decreasing the Time to Market of its products. All the development activities are based on simultaneous engineering, lean manufacturing, best practices and process and quality guarantee. Just as in the “Development of the Manufacturing Process” above. The development counts on specialists in the main processes involved in the assembly of electronic products: application of soldering paste and adhesives, component assembly, soldering (reflow, wave and selective), finishes like conformal coating, or potting and product integration.


New Product Introduction (NPI )

The process offered by CERTI consists in the development of a system for the transfer of parameters of assembly processes for circuit boards. It can work in conjunction with the development of introduction of new products or for the introduction of new technologies or packagings, such as BGAs, PoPs, 01005, flip-chip and others. The great advantage is that the client does not need to use its production line to develop a new production process, substantially reducing the time of use of the main line for setup and possible adjustments to the process.


Design for excellence of circuit boards and electronic products (DFM, DFA, DFT and DFI)

Development of products that seek to guarantee that a circuit board is designed, manufactured, assembled and tested with as few defects as possible. It makes maximum use of the manufacturing structure of the PCB and of the assembler.


Development of testing and inspection strategies for PCBs

Development of automatic inspection and production test strategies for circuit boards based on: analysis of opportunities for defects in the boards; definition of the test strategy; analysis of DfT; preparation Production Requirements book for Testing and evaluation of potential suppliers.


RoHS adaptation of electronic products

Involves adapting electronic manufacturing projects and processes to the RoHS guidelines mainly to attend foreign markets, adapting non-conforming electronic products and guaranteeing new processes without an increase in the percentage of mistakes due to change in materials.

IMPROVEMENT OF EXISTING PROCESSES

The CERTI Foundation applies techniques for the improvement of existing industrial processes, through advanced analysis tools and using process development methodologies. The engineering team familiarized with the state of the art of manufacturing integrally analyzes the countless possibilities for reconfiguration of processes and implementation of improvements, with a focus on indicators of productivity, capacity of processes, reliability and cost reduction, seeking to achieve excellence in terms of advanced manufacturing.

SOLUTIONS FOR MANUFACTURING AND INTEGRATION OF TECHNOLOGY PRODUCTS

The CERTI Foundation offers solutions for the development of processes, realized concomitantly with the design of the product and to the development of a quality guarantee for the process and based on the best lean manufacturing practices. The developments focus on a better return on investment in production and can also include studies of automation of processes and development of the management system for the factory floor management system (PIMS). This type of project can be developed in a turn-key form, in which, after validation of the assembly line and integration through a pilot production, the client receives the line assembled with a trained staff and ready for production.
