Sapiens Parque – Santa Catarina State Government
This project involved the conception and implementation of an “innovation park” to promote the development of economic segments for which Florianópolis already has a vocation, such as tourism, technology, the environment and specialized services. To implement and operate the development which is called Sapiens Parque, CERTI created, in partnership with the Santa Catarina government, Sapiens Parque S.A., which uses an innovative management model to attract, develop, implement and integrate businesses. One of the project’s most important distinctions in achieving its goals and objectives is a philosophy based on sustainable development and competitiveness. The communities around Sapiens Parque are also being trained and qualified to be protagonists in the region’s development, by means of programs such as Sapiens Community, the Braz River Trail, Sapiens School, the Sesi Library, the Quinta Arts Association, the Culinary Trail of Northern Santa Catarina Island, the Telecentro, the Civil Construction Service Center and Sapiens Circus. The Sapiens Incubator now hosts the Studium Sapiens project with five innovative organizations focused on the development of a cluster of technomedia and on new technologies for education and entertainment. Sapiens Park is already hosting companies – and will receive other projects – that find it to be an excellent location for establishing partnerships and maximizing the production and supply of their products. Educational, and commercial institutions; centers for conventions, culture and health, museums, sports complexes, research laboratories, an ecology park and a large range of specialized services – which will be installed in Sapiens Parque in the coming years – will be connected in a single innovative, convergent and sustainable environment. Meanwhile, a social incubator will involve socio-environmental projects for the community around the park.
TecnoVia Technology Park – Secti/Bahia State Government
The project had the challenge to conceive and plan an anchor mechanism to promote Salvador, Bahia, as an innovative metropolis. To do so, it was necessary to create means to attract, articulate and develop projects and companies that promote innovative technologies, contributing to sustainable development and resulting in a cluster of globally competitive innovation. CERTI acted to generate know-how and knowledge to develop and structure a complete solution, denominated TecnoVia – The Salvador Technology Park. The development is an action of the Bahia State government, through the Secretary of Science, Technology and Innovation of Bahia State and Fapesb – the research support foundation of Bahia, in partnership with FIEB, the Salvador municipal government, MCT, Finep, Sebrae and Bahian universities. The Bahian state government assumed technical coordination of the implementation process, the Salvador municipal government provided the land, and the Ministry of Science and Technology provided finance for the initial infrastructure. In addition, the state government will provide annual funds to expand the infrastructure of the Technology Park and attract investments. Expected results include economic, social, environmental and technological innovations, with a focus on the development of knowledge in the areas of Information and Communication technology, renewable Energies and Biotechnology.
