The CERTI Foundation, together with Sábia Experience and the Instituto Sapientia, developed the COG family of interactive consoles (Cognus and eCog) based on multiple-touch sensory technologies with capacity for audiovisual content. The purpose was to create products that allowed greater interaction between teachers and students, and in the processes of communication and learning in corporate environments. The products basically consist in a touch-sensitive table with image projection, an adjacent monitor and electronic processing and control devices. The COG family gave origin to the development of multimedia consoles, with Cognus for 5-7 users and eCog for 3 users. The products incorporate innovative sensory technology with an interactive multi-touch surface (including mechanical, optic and electronic parts). As a result, various patent requests were filed, which reveals the unprecedented nature and excellence of the solutions found.
